It's a ‘Townscape’ photo-collage made from over three hundred images taken in and around the town of Skipton, North Yorkshire. Except for the Starlings!
Its a bit of a monster so here are some details that, I hope, may pique your curiosity!
I gathered photos of many familiar and not so familiar buildings and objects over several visits and edited, combined and merged them into a Skipton townscape.
It’s been quite a departure from anything I've produced before. It's a whimsical piece; I had great fun playing with disguise, confused perspectives, tricks and misdirections.
It took on a life of its own as I struggled to assemble the jumbled pieces. At times it confounded me and I left it alone to stew for a while.
I'm very pleased with the finished piece and I hope you'll visit the Mill Bridge Gallery and enjoy identifying the buildings and places hidden in this bizarre landscape.
